Nigel lives and breathes every aspect of roofing, he has been in the industry since 2001 starting for the Wedge group as a roofing stock controller then becoming Assistant Branch manager for SIG's top performing branch. Eight years ago Nigel started the Chandlers Roofing Scrubs Lane as a shareholder, built the branch from scratch and has been with us ever since.
There is not a supplier or customer that Nigel does not know. Extensively resourceful, Nigel knows how to get his customers what they need as well as knowing the industry inside out.
Nigel has since moved on to become the Sales Manager for London, which suits him perfectly as he is a very well loved figure, not only in our business but with all our customers.
Basically, Nigel is a complete DUDE!
I currently cover the Western Region of the IBMG Group, covering both Guilford and Leatherhead Roofing Branches, and the Builders Merchant Branches from Chandlers, Parkers and Fairalls from Banstead in the North of the region to Brighton on the south coast. I now have the pleasure on working in tandem with Lee Carroll who covers the Eastern Region who joined us from Raven Roofing recently.
I have worked for Chandlers for 5 years now, and previously have worked for Jewson Builders Merchant as a Branch Manager before moving to working for Manufactures such as Russell Roofing and Redlands for around 15years, I also had a short period working for a Roofing Contractor based in Surrey.
I hope I have over the years developed a strong understanding of the roofing business and hope that this knowledge and experience proves useful to the group in developing the Roofing Business across the region.
I have enjoyed my time working with people in Chandlers and the people I have met in the wider IBMG group and look forward to next 5 years at least.
I cover the Eastern Region for Chandlers Roofing working closely alongside my counterpart Brian Smith who covers the Western Region.
Within that region I have two roofing branches Tonbridge and Rye as well as all Parkers and Chandlers builders’ merchants who can call on me for any roofing requirements or help, they may need.
I started with Chandlers back in December last year so you could say I am the new kid on the block.
I previously have 34 years’ experience working with the same company since the day I left school this gave me the opportunity to work up through the ranks in covering all aspects of roofing merchanting from yard man to becoming Branch Manager back in 2010.
I have built up great relationships over the years with Main contractors, small building companies as well as all our suppliers that I still have today and expect to have going forward with Chandlers.
One of my main reasons for coming to Chandlers was to work with some great people that I have known over the years who have come here and enjoy working in the atmosphere that has been created by all.
